When choosing a new home, nothing is more important to parents than the schools their children will attend. And when that new home is in Richwoods, middle schoolers will attend the brand new Vandeventer Middle School in the Frisco Independent School District.
Built to meet the FISD’s visionary requirements, Vandeventer serves youngsters in grades 6 through 8 with state-of-the-art facilities and programs. Principal Kristin Herbert has 14 years of education experience and holds a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Assistant Principal Jason Ellis has 16 years of experience and holds a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi. Assistant Principal Kranti Singh has served as an educator in Texas for the past 7 years and holds a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University.
In addition to outstanding academic teachers and programs, Vandeventer has a coaching staff that is committed to helping student athletes reach their maximum potential by being a model for positive leadership, character, responsibility and competitive spirit. Boys have the opportunity to play football, basketball, track, soccer, cross-country and tennis; girls have the opportunity to play volleyball, basketball, track, soccer, cross-country and tennis. Students are also encouraged to participate in band, cheerleading, choir, orchestra, theater and more. Youngsters moving into new homes in Richwoods have plenty of academic, sports, and extracurricular opportunities.
