Pumpkin patches, fall festivals and one-of-a-kind trick or treating—October is here!  This truly is the best time of year to head outside and cherish all the fun and beauty of the season—and that won’t be hard to do with a ton of family-oriented events right near your new home in Richwoods.  Here are some ideas for a perfect autumn outing.

Annual Fall Festival.  Saturday, October 19th, 3-7PM.  First United Methodist Church of Frisco.  Fun for the entire family can be found at this annual carnival-themed festival with games, bounce houses and obstacle courses.  Celebrate the season of autumn with a hay ride, spider crawl, pumpkin carving, and face painting.  Festival-goers are invited to stay for an uplifting outdoor concert from 7-10PM.  Tickets can be purchased at the festival or in advance at the church.

Annual Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party for Kids.  Friday, October 25th, 4:15-6PM. SMARTS Club, Frisco.  Get your best costume on and head to the SMARTS Club Monster Mansion for a parade, talent show and dance party.  There will be treats for all, plus prizes for the most creative costumes.  Be sure to contact SMARTS Club by October 19th if your child would like to participate in the talent show.

Frisco Fire Safety Town Fall Festival.  Friday, October 25th, 6-9PM.  Children (tots through fifth-graders) are invited to a special annual trick-or-treat event at Frisco Fire Safety Town.  All sorts of Halloween treats will be handed out by Safety Town residents throughout the decorated and festive village.  A free shuttle service is provided (and recommended) from the Frisco Athletic Center, near your new home in Richwoods.

3rd Annual Trick or Treat the Square.  Sunday, October 27th, 1-4PM.  Once again, families with children 12 and under can head to Frisco Square for an afternoon of trick-or-treating at favorite restaurants, shops and businesses.  Fall festivities will also include a petting zoo, a not-so-spooky spook house, face painting and wagon rides around the plaza!
