New Homes in Frisco with ExCEPTIONAL Schools

New homes at Richwoods – one of the most desirable master-planned communities in Frisco, Texas – are located in the heart of the highly acclaimed Frisco Independent School District (FISD).

Frisco ISD is one of the fastest growing school districts in Texas and has been rated exemplary by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). As FISD grows along with the city, so does its commitment to excellence and its focus on providing the best learning opportunities for students. Test scores are continually improving, and are well above state and national averages. More than 75 percent of seniors take one or more of the college entrance exams, and approximately 90 percent of FISD graduating seniors plan to continue their education at a college, university, technical school, or the military following high school. Graduating classes from FISD continue to earn millions of dollars in scholarships to further their education.

Richwoods is surrounded by extraordinary schools for every level student. Elementary-age children from Richwoods will attend either Curtsigner Elementary or McSpedden Elementary.

Current residents enrolled in middle school attend the state-of-the-art Vandeventer Middle School, directly adjacent to Richwoods on the east side and accessible via a neighborhood drop-off zone. FISD began construction on a second new middle school adjacent to Richwoods at its northwest corner. Completion dates and in-service dates for Lawler Middle School are yet to be determined.

Also under construction adjacent to the community is a new elementary school. Dates for completion and service are TBD.

Independence High School opened just a bit north of Richwoods in the Fall of 2014 and is serving the older Richwoods students. Frisco ISD embraces the concepts of freedom, and the name Independence High demonstrates their commitment to preparing students to “to pursue their lives, their liberties and their happiness… to have the skills they need to follow their dreams, to achieve their goals, to find their place in the world, and to be the productive citizens and leaders of tomorrow.”

As you learn more about Frisco schools, you will understand why so many families are flocking to Richwoods for the assurance that their children will receive an outstanding education, close to home.
